Communications and Social Media Policy
Sport Health Tech and its products are focussed on developing health technology and communicating health messages using accessible language.
We want to create valuable content, related to health improvement in under-served communities, that is suitable for anyone aged 13+.
We will do our best to moderate comments from others, and to educate where errors arise. We use filters to reduce innappropriate comments, but we are not responsable for diliberately misleading, or abusive things other people say.
We seek to amplify and explain great work and research to non-technical audiences. You are encouraged to share with acknowledgement, and please retain citations- so nobody’s hard work goes unacknowledged.
Our work deals with breast cancer and colorectal cancer, so we will discuss and share literature about these (and other) parts of the body. We will discuss the body, disease symptoms and health conditions using medical terms and respectful language- and we encourage our followers to do the same.
We reserve the right to block comments or followers who use derogatory language about people’s bodies, backgrounds, identities and abilities. We will immediately block those who choose threats, abuse or violence.
Questions, learning opportunities, and information sharing are important. We will cite our sources, listen to feedback or corrections, and update our approaches and ideas, as time and the science move on.
